Dahlberg Pillow Speaker Radio

I've owned this Dahlberg Pillow Speaker radio for nearly 30 years.

When I got it the cabinet was badly cracked, an old friend gave me another cabinet along about the time I was just setting up my current display room so the radio with the cracked cabinet and the uncracked cabinet got put in a box and were promptly forgotten about until s few days ago

when I found the box while digging around in my little workshop's attic, so I decided it was time to do something with it.

What you see here is the result of a couple days work.

Besides swapping out the cabinets I had to replace the wire on the pillow speaker and the AC power cord since they were badly

dry rotted.

I knocked together the wooden base and painted it flat black.

The radio works, I didn't have to do anything to it.

This is the original cracked cabinet.

After moving some stuff around I made a place for it in the display room.
